Break wafers into very fine crumbs. Put the crubms in a large mixing bowl, stir in cocoa and sugar with a shisk. Add corn syrup and jam. use your hands to mix everytthing together until dough is smooth.

On a sheet of waxed paper, makes 24 - 1" balls (bodies) and 24 - 1/2" balls (heads). Stick heads and bodies togeter. For legs, cut licorice into short pieces and press them into the side of the spiders.
